Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Thanks OP for this. Renewed until May 2027. Chose not to renew till 2029 as I don't believe AMC may exist at that time with most of their debt maturing in '29 and interest burden increasing with higher rates, expect AMC to be bankrupt/sold by then.

I renewed Dec 1 and noticed that it now says 2026 renewal. Weird. I assume it's just an error. I had to double check to make sure I wasn't charged twice.

Same here. I renewed late Nov and had Dec 1 2025.
After renewing, it's added 3 year to Dec 1 2028.

I almost feel bad since it's easily worth $15 a year, but then it's $18 for popcorn and a soda...

We'll see if it sticks. Pretty clearly a bug...
