Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Seems to be the case with me as well. After checkout it said 2026. But on my amc profile, says 2027

Anyone on the fence about it - it pays for itself with 1 or two movies. The annual free birthday gift, waived fees on tickets, reward points, and free popcorn / drink size upgrades makes it worth it.

If you're in a high COL city or go to the IMAX 70mm releases, this is a no brainer.

not sure if this only works on the app because I purchased the membership (first time ever becasuse I needed to buy Gladiator tix for me and a buddy) on my computer. Wondering if I should try to add this deal, I went on my account page and saw that the renew date is Jan 2027.

Thanks OP! Got till 2029 for $30. Is the Discount Tuesday $7 tickets are specific to selected theatres? I am trying to check this after the purchase and it doesn't offer the discounted price for a Tuesday booking. Offers like 10-20% only.

Great deal. I renewed last week (before I saw this) and wondered why I got 2 years. I just renewed again and got another two years. I'm good until Aug. 1, 2029.

I noticed something in my account, my end date is no longer September 2027 but August 2027. Not sure why the slight change but looks like there might be some changes that they are working on. Still 2 years though so the loss of 1 month isn't a big deal but who knows if there is any more adjustments coming

What's the likelihood is AMC fixing this and retroactively correcting all accounts that got an extra year?

My premiere expired earlier this year. Upgraded premiere for one year. Listed 12/22/2025 expiration date.

Renewed again. App updated with 1/1/2029 expiration date.

So $7.50 per year for 4 years is a good deal when you factor in the new cost will be $17 a year.
