This brings back memories how 10-15 years ago Staples frequently gave back 100% in rewards on Duracell batteries. I got more than I could use and put them in a box thinking I'm covered for years because most of the batteries had dates 5-10 years in the future. I used a few packages. Unfortunately well before the date printed on each sealed package, every package of Duracells leaked. I lost a couple dozen packages of unused batteries. I considered seeing if I could get replacements from Duracell even though I only paid tax for them. Instead I decided to take it as a lesson never to buy another Duracell battery. Later I bought some Kirkland batteries and they leaked. Then I found out they were Duracell so no more Kirklands either. By contrast I've had very few Energizers leak. Guess which brand I buy now?
So unless you use your Duracell batteries very quickly, I wouldn't bother.

All of the Staples stores around me having closed and gone out of business really kills it.

I feel dumb. How does tax kill it? Still seems like a good deal to me.

How can they offer something like this? Rewards never expire right? If you nudge them every 18 months.

200 points = $1.00.

FYI: 100% back in points is ALL batteries. 10% offer is Duracell only.

There is a very slim offering of non-Duracell batteries, all at very inflated prices.

staples may not carry a 20 pack in store. i just checked the inventory in my store, and they have either a 16 or a 24 pack. they don't have a 20 pack.

in my previous post, i was looking to see if anyone had a listing of what they found as far as price matches ie
hd xxx
amazon xxx
target xxx

i remember in the other thread about this (last deal), some stores were difficult to PM because rewards were being issued.

However, there is a coupon for 10% off Duracell batteries which can stack with the 25% back in rewards.
rewards offers is what someone asked about, rewards offer coupons don't stack and certainly nothing that would give more than 100% back.

Saying 10% stacks is not really true in the sense that if you spend $50, use the 10% off for $45, you'll only get back $45 in rewards. You can spend $55 and pay $50 oop for an extra $5 in batts, but you're much better off with the $10/30 recycle coupon I talk about elsewhere this thread. $60 worth of batts for $50, get back $50.

i've $20 credit on my creditcards. Planning to use that to buy gift card first and then buy these batteries. Also will recycle 10 toners to get 5000 points . Took advantage of this sale last time too. Buying Rechargeable AA and AAA which is $13.XX each and its' the same price on other sites too.
Where is the 10% off coupon For Duracell ?

Prices in my store are about 25% higher than the Staples.com Pickup In Store price.
I price match to the website at the cashier.

Got 50% back in points for printer recently, but their products are expensive, photo papers are cheaper elsewhere. Points do not expire but use at least $1 every 18 months to keep it active. I see some sale for some product often, so it's best to wait and use the rewards.

Like many others here, I have had the 'leak' issue with Duracell batteries (though not with their Optimum series). I have been wondering if getting the Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables is the long term solution in investing for good quality batteries. Thoughts or recommendations? TIA
