I have had no issues with my Onn TV. Westinghouse, on the other hand, I have
had nightmares with. Worked for about a month, then started acting up. Worst
part is their customer service, that is a complete clusterf*ck. Took me nearly 6 months
to get them to honor their own warranty.

Thank you. I also heard many terrible experiences about Westinghouse here, but to my surprise, their review scores on target.com are quite high at 4.5, 4.6. that is really confusing.

My ex has had this tv for about a year and has worked great. I found the 75" for a buddy for $240 as an open box return and he said it has been great.

Any idea how this would perform outside under cover? Maybe a little glare from sun

If it is bright out expect the TV to look dim. If the sun is directly on it then it will be unwatchable. If it is in a shaded area then it may be ok-ish. Depending on how bright it is outside.

Where do you find the open box return? In store?

That door buster price may never come back. I had ordered the 65" TCL. But Walmart cancelled saying they ran out of stock ☹️. First time this has happened with Walmart

Yeah, someone bought it and only opened the box but tore it up pretty good and never set up the tv. My Walmart has started carrying return TVs marked down by the photo area but the manager said the tv was never taken out of the plastic and they realized it was too big and discounted it more bc of the box condition.

My buddy joked about doing that in the future for other tv purchases 😅

I got the 70" Onn TV, and it lasted 2.5 years until the backlight died. Ended up replacing it with a Hisense. No more Onn TVs for me.

There was an old thread talking about how people leaving the scores commonly are upgrading from 1080p and rating the upgrade to 4k more than the TV itself.

Keyword search but can't find the SD thread a few months ago about Costco 75" TCL for $298. We don't have the time machine but IMO it's the largest TV size for the money. If anyone knows the link of that thread, please reply to me. I just love to read every pages of that thread. Thanks.
Edit: Found the thread. Not TCL but Hisense:

I don't think reviews capture 100% of people experience with the product.
