I got the M4 Pro a month ago but I would personally go for M3 Pro for this price, $450 is a big difference(comes to additional ~26.5% in savings). I use the M3 Pro version for work and haven't really noticed any difference. Most of the performance upgrades are only noticable in certain tasks(e.g. video editing, running LLM). You would know by heart if you need those upgrades.

Now I'm torn. Keep the Costco deal for the 2023 MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro for $1249 or buy this 2024 MacBook Pro 14" M4 Pro $1699. All the reviews say the upgrade is noticeable in performance and features.

it's hard. we are slickdealers, so you should go with the cheapest price. But if you value like things like depreciation or perhaps a slight improvement to your usage, and the money is no issue, I'd go with the M4 Pro
