I got the M4 Pro a month ago but I would personally go for M3 Pro for this price, $450 is a big difference(comes to additional ~26.5% in savings). I use the M3 Pro version for work and haven't really noticed any difference. Most of the performance upgrades are only noticable in certain tasks(e.g. video editing, running LLM). You would know by heart if you need those upgrades.

Wow, stunned at how cheap these deals are now. I just bought an M2 Pro 14" 16GB last year from Costco during the Christmas deal for $1599 plus tax. Literally feel like the floor fell out in 12 months. Tempted to jump on this, but I'd probably get peanuts for my current machine. I guess I need to wait out two more years and then see what's out there.

I traded in my M1 Pro for a m3 pro earlier this year, just traded in for the m4 again they did give me $1,200 for it

Hmmm, they're quoting $800 for it. Interesting but not sure the upgrade is worth another $900 + tax for me. I still have 2 years of AppleCare+ left on it and my usage is pretty light right now, to be honest. Mostly browsing, journalling, and wasting my time with ChatGPT!

Looks like m3 pro went down to 800. And m4 pro went to 1000. My m1 Mac air is still 350
