With the keyboard it is pretty heavy and I think it's 3.3lbs? (someone corrected it to 2.7lb) that's basically same as most ultrabooks 13-14" now.

If you need a keyboard - get a laptop

If you need a tablet, get an iPad

If you want to half Tablet and half Laptop but not great at both than this is a good device (but please do check the apps and run them all to be sure)

I have a Surface Pro 7. I have loved it for several years. It could be time to upgrade.

2.7 lbs with keyboard,
Ah thanks - I fixed my original post also just now.

I'd still get a laptop if you use it in that mode most of the time. The flex keyboard is crazy awkward on an actual laptop and machine can fall off!!

2.7 lbs with keyboard,

Personally, I really like this form factor even when using it as a laptop, though I may be in the minority. I love that the heat is moved away from my lap.
i like this form factor that i can detach the keyboard away from the screen.

Just remember that this comes with the Surface Pro 8 keyboard that doesn't even have a spot for the pen, let alone Bluetooth for operating it disconnected from the tablet.

They make it so confusing. The main photo shows the keyboard you described, but some of the additional promo photos show the new keyboard with the pen slot (and the pen).

It says in the specs that the digital pen is not included. Also I think the one at Costco (same computer for $1299 the keyboard can be used wirelessly as well).

Surface Pro 9 (processor) vs surface Pro 11 (ARM).

Any reason why we should consider one vs the other?
Its not particularly much faster, but the battery life is immensely longer, if you have a Pro 9 you might be fine for another 2 years before needing any real upgrade.

I love mine. It's extremely responsive, runs Lightroom and Photoshop well (they're ARM native) and it even plays x86 games like Baldur's Gate 3 just fine. I don't even have to think about battery life or heat most of the time. If you use hardware or a VPN that needs to have drivers installed, you're gonna have a bad time. Otherwise, the vast majority of things work fine.

Bought and returned mine too. I use android apps on windows and that feature does not work on surface 11 (if that matters to anyone). Also agree with it being a little more bulky.

Looking at the Costco deal in store, the keyboard was NOT the wireless version, it was the Surface Pro 9 version.

I see, yea thanks for letting me know. I'm personally super confused as well...

So if I do want the wireless keyboard is there a combo of that? Or is that something I need to purchase individually?

Okay I looked around, so the regular keyboard is called "Pro" and the wireless one is called "Pro Flex", but what's interesting is that the combo deal from Costco is $1300 (with keyboard "Pro" and digitial pen), and if you get it from MS store right now the surface pro 11 is $899 and the combo with "Pro Flex + digital pen" is $450 (btw the "Pro" Keyboard with digital pen is $280), so that's roughly $1350. That means if the ones from Costco is not the Pro Flex, you are getting ripped off for sure. Its cheaper if you just get it from MS store directly it seems.

The $1300 deal from Costco has a 1TB SSD, the $899 one from Microsoft has a 256GB SSD.

If the apps you use are available for arm64, hands down get the snapdragon. It's way faster, quieter, and lasts longer than the Intel version.

Any idea if Windows on Arm can run R, Matlab, SAS well?

I'd even take it further that iPads are too heavy. I'm down to using an iPad mini and 17" Gram as my 2 daily drivers. Assuming it's for durability reasons and lack of new battery tech, device engineering really haven't improved much over the last 10 years.
