unpopular take: they do not feel as good as wacoms to draw on. the low-end wacoms arent as good as they used to be. they probably cut corners to compete with other brands prices. in that case definitely go with a chinese brand. but at the high end nothing is as good as professional grade wacoms. they are still the best by a long shot in my opinion. i have been using tablets professionally for about 16 years. maybe im just biased, but when i tried a "comparable" huion i was really put off by the feel. this comment may not belong in this thread because the one op posted is low-end and id say get another brand. but maybe my experience and opinion can help inform someone considering a purchase.

Was out all day, so just got back. This is probably one of the most popular tablets now a days and reviews really well. You get 8K pressure, bigger screen, a ton of buttons to customize.

That being staid the China stuff is now a days better than the Wacom stuff and you get more features usually for the money. For around $200 you can now find bigger screens and 8K pressure sensitivity on drawing tablets if you go with XPPEN, Huion, or other lesser known brands like Gaomon.

You can also get USI 2.0 tablets for super cheap now, the fire 10 with USI support is basically always $75 lately with some places having coupons to make it cheaper.

This one, pretty sure no. The older cheaper screenless ones I was able to use as a mouse replacement yes, because the pad is just a mimc of your monitor screen without the image.

I have several tablets, huion and etc. This would be good for kids, but it's a hard thing to recommend at this size. Take a regular sheet of paper and it's this size, but the screen is actually smaller 10x5 ish because of the bezels. Now imagine you put a drawing app on it. Sure you can make the menus disappear, and have hotkeys, to pull it up, or just to use commands, but it's just not.... Nice to draw at 1080p at this size.

It feels too cramped, to have a keyboard for hotkeys, probably close to full size for most, and this screen all bunched up, plus your regular monitor, etc.

I'd really recommend a larger, 13 or 16 size screen at a higher res. If you get this, maybe get a cheap macropad or 60 percent keyboard or smaller for hotkeys and it won't feel bad.

Not all apps are nice to draw with when only the canvas is on screen, so it can make your effective drawing space very, very small, when you add in all the menus, etc.

I have a doio macropad that uses via, and has programmable knobs and it's been heaven while drawing. Huion has a macropad similar that is amazing.
Anyway, just my 2c.

A decade on cintiqs and the good thing was they lasted forever, the bad news is they are stupid expensive, and I'd still need to buy a primary large monitor for screen space and visual quality. Unless you're really doing pro work daily and have a giant desk I just couldn't justify the expense anymore.

For this price I got the huion because I needed hotkeys and this Wacom doesn't even have the eraser end which is one of Wacom's killer features. Plus the huion can connect with just one thunderbolt cable to my Mac Studio while this requires a 3 in 1 splitter. It also makes the huion much easier to stow away if you aren't using it.

For someone that only needs to draw professionally occasionally I have no regrets with the Huion, again after a decade using high end cintiqs.

Just checked this. The "$100 off" is still there, they just raised the price by $100. So initial price is $399, and the "sale price" is now $299
