Almost bit. But realized this is not the garage cam. OK deal. There are cams that are not much more, that offer higher resolution and color night vision.

I have an earlier gen of this eufy cam installed on my garage ceiling - includes a mounting bracket and go in to the settings to invert the picture. Throw in an SD card for local storage. 2.4 Ghz WiFi and does pan and tilt as wll as night vision - no subscription required.

i start a new job soon where i just want to be able to periodically check in on my two dogs at home while in stuck in the office.

i don't need saved/archived video or any other bells & whistles... just a live feed (of the room i set up the cam) i can periodically check via phone app.

this should do that, correct? anything obvious i'm missing?

Buy this or others from WYZE, and I think you will be much better off. I have this and some of the outdoors with the solar panel connected to WIFI on a rural property and have a great real time monitor and limited storage with no subscription. Alerts too.

thanks for the feedback. i canceled my order for this janky Chamberlain model and, after doing some more research, i've narrowed my options to Tapo [amazon.com] vs. Eufy [amazon.com].
