Long term user of Eneba here. Never had an issue buying from them. Bought 2 keys from this deal. First key worked fine no issues. The second one I bought for a relative didn't work. When activating (I was the one doing the activation) Microsoft gave an error that the key was already used.

Opened a ticket with Eneba. Refund can take up to 22 days per what it said on the ticket. Will wait it out to see what the seller responds, if I don't here back will simply open a ticket with Paypal to get my money back.

Contacted Microsoft support and they checked and confirmed that the key sent by Eneba had been redeemed way before the date I purchased the key (I bought it today). At first I though it could be a system issue where the key got sent at the same time to 2 persons but Microsoft confirmed that the key had been redeemed way earlier than today. Microsoft did ask for proof of purchase before checking.

So, as everyone knows already. When buying from Eneba redeem right away, pay with Paypal or a good credit card, and be ready to lose some money in the worst case scenario. Sadly even when paying with Paypal nowadays is a risk. Paypal ain't what it used to be where it was super easy to make a claim. They make it harder now to do so and some times give you the we are sorry, to bad for you.

My discover card has never let me down when it comes to issues like these in getting game keys. In the rare chance it happens, CC companies are usually quick to issue refund during dispute and I've never lost a case. Most also offer a temporary refund so I don't stress too much.

Yep, not worried or stressed about it. Worst case is just $3 lost, I'm sure the seller will either refund or send another key hopefully. Just sharing my experience and info I gathered. Coincidentally the CC tied to Paypal for this transaction was a Discover. Glad to hear that in case it goes that far. Although for $3 it might not be worth the hassle.

Eneba replied back and closed the ticket:

Happy to inform you that your key has been replaced! You'll find it in your original email of your purchase, or create an account on Eneba and find it on your Eneba Library: https://my.eneba.com/my-library

Happy gaming!
The new code they sent worked and I was able to redeem it. Happy closure.

Filing a dispute on discover takes just a few clicks! I love it compared to other card companies where I need to call customer service and spend 30 minutes explaining I bought a game code on an obscure website to redeem on steam.

Anyone know (for sure) if the PC version works offline? I am seeing very conflicting reports online, most suggesting the game requests a persistent connection even when playing single player.

So, I had to be online to activate the game on the Minecraft launcher. Then I could go offline and play. I closed the launcher and the game twice while offline and it launched fine and let me start the campaign. Eventually after multiple retries it asked me again to activate it for which I had to go online again. So, I'm not sure 100% what is the deal.

Looking online it seems this needs to be followed in order for it not to keep asking for an internet connection when loading for offline play:

Ok posting an answer here just in case somebody does a google for the same question I had. Inside the microsoft store, click the three dots on the top right, go to settings, then go to offline permissions. You have to set that computer as the primary for games with limited license and need internet on to do it. After you have your computer set to the primary you have to login to the games while online, it will update the licenses then after that you can login while the internet isn't working.

Hmm. Interesting note. I guess credit card is the entity to go by as well as avoiding non-reputable website. I no longer wish to deal with grey websites. Time not worth it. Also, this game doesn't offer local coop unlike the other Minecraft games. If you want 4-player local coop, any Minecraft but this version.
