FYI, geekbench 5 score 448/1688

It seems it's slower than the $20 samsung A9+ (682/1843) from metro.

yeah, dont get it folks. The a9+ is the slowest i would go for.

I have this. It was a huge upgrade from the galaxy a7 lite.

That being said, I wouldn't expect to play fortnight at 60fps or emulate ps2 on it. But then for this price, I hope you don't have those expectations.

Is this att branded or Tmobile branded? The reason I ask is att blocks messaging, but if you have tmobile firmware or messaging App, and use their tablet plan. Texting works unlimited domestic or Intl.can you please confirm you have the Message app? And is this tmobile firmware or att? Thx!!

That Tablet is DOUBLE the price of this one and is locked to Metro and you could have only gotten that deal if you were a metro user and signed up for their service and paid monthly on top of the purchase price. This is unlocked and you don't need to sign up with any service and can just use it with wifi if you wanted, which is a monumental difference. I was looking at that Samsung A9 and went with this one from woot for under $60 around Black Friday, which is a MUCH better deal, and I'm happy with it. It's not slow at all if you just wanna use it for videos and basic stuff, it's perfect.

Sounds like a plan. I would rip whatever apps you can off it to minimize stuff. Plenty of YouTube vids on that. I use AppControl to remove stuff I don't want on my phones and tablets.

Darn it. My wifes old tablet is very slow. I don't want to buy a new one and have her complain about slowness. Oh well, the hunt is still on then. Thanks for your post to save me from more complaints in the house. I think I have the A9 in my crapola android radio in my jeep. It is NOT nice to work with.

Amazon fire tablet? You can get refurbished units off Woot pretty frequently for $30-$60, depending on size and model. I've got 2 10" 2021 models I use for baby monitors or video players for my little one, no issues with functionality in those scenarios. I can't imagine a photo frame needing more processing power than live video.
