This was on sale for 128.56 back in February and i purchased two. Very good for the price
Is it worth having two for a stereo pair? How is the latency? (lip syncing for movies, youtube, etc)

You have to go through the app for stereo pairing? Spotify will work with this? I have a set of Paradigm PW600s and DTS Play-fi gets to be troublesome.

The app is lame and honestly you dont need it because of physical key eq. I hope you don't have to use it. I'll look around

Got this last time around at the same price. Amazing speaker for the price. The coating on the handle was bubbled and cracked though - not sure if this is why they're discounting but a little annoying. Doesn't affect sound quality though.

for the price of 2, and assuming you arent moving them around, wouldn't a set of bookshelf speakers with a bt mini-amp be better sounding? cast audio is better than Bluetooth, right? i assume this has no other inputs?

Hard to overstate how good this speaker sounds. I'm a longtime audio freak and was floored by how amazing this speaker sounds, even in a larger room.I'm buying a 2nd one to do stereo pairing. I listen to this many hours a day in my office and have had multiple unsolicited compliments from friends about the sound quality. There are 3 hidden EQ modes and 3 hidden bass modes which really change the sound signature. Out of the box this speaker tracks remarkably close to the Harmon curve. Like, better than many $1000+ speakers
I second this comment. I have a bose portable home speaker, bose soundbar 700, bose soundbar 550. All of the above were priced much more than this hk go + play 3 deal. Except for bose soundbar 700, this blows everything else easily. I bought it for the same price earlier this year on a slickdeal and I just ordered one again for pairing it with my first one and using it as stereo.

Better than PartyBox encore or 120? Though they are a bit expensive.

Hey, thanks for the rundown, I bought 2. I have a single Onyx Studio 6, which is my current favorite. I was looking at the Brane Audio Brane X, but that can wait now. Bowers & Wilkins makes the Zeppelin, I'm sure that's the one you were referring to. I've always felt Bang & Olufsen were overrated though. Creative made a bluetooth speaker that was pretty awesome but they've limited production now for some reason. Thanks again. A few of my testers are Sergei Prokofiev Romeo and Juliet Act I Scene 2 "The Knight's Dance", "Strawberry Letter 23" by Quincy Jones and "Verses" by Ólafur Arnalds and Alice Sara Ott.
What's the name of the creative speaker you are referring to?

This is an amazingly positive thread for Slickdeals! It is rare you see this kind of agreement on a product.
Couldn't agree more; was thinking the same!

I leave for an extended international trip on 12/31. The speaker won't arrive until Jan 3 using the free ground shipping. Couldn't justify spending $40 for 2day air.

Couldn't resist. Placed an order anyway. I've known that I love gadgets, especially audio gadgets but last two months have confirmed it.

Bought two premium earbuds, an over-the-ear headphones and now these. I need to uninstall this app lol

Still love my JBL Flip 5s for its sound and portability. Still going strong since 2015. I guess JBL/Harman are my brand of choice for "portable" BT speakers.

I have a pair really great Cambridge audio bookshelf speakers. These things weigh upwards of 40lbs apiece and I'm running them with a very nice, very powerful class D amp with enormous power supply and conditioner. It is as close to unlimited clean power as you can get before Hypex modules.

When we first moved I had the Play 3 acting as a sound bar for my projector. It did an unbelievable job, and sounded close to this very nice set of speakers and amps with music, especially at lower volumes. That's another thing, the sound scaling on this is great. Incredibly granular, unlike a lot of UE and JBL speakers that go from too quiet / too loud with a single click. When connecting to a Win 10 PC via BT the volumne control really is 100 steps instead of 7-8 pretending to be 100 in most speakers.

Obviously a set of decent speakers will always have better soundstage and dynamics, but I'm curious to try two of these Play 3s vs some serious speakers like my Onkyo D-77rx which are close to the best sounding speakers ever made.

I will take a guess and say UE Boombox. It was like an unrefined version of the Play 3. IMO it was the best sounding speaker for almost a decade until this thing. It also looked cool as hell. It's a crime they stopped making it. Play 3 is very ugly and the handle should've been removable.

So, you guys all sound very knowledgeable about this stuff. I purchased a harman kardan aura 3 this season for under a $100 and I have also purchased the JBL party speaker 110 for about $120, I am now thinking I should purchase this after reading everyone in agreement about it. The thing is I don't need all three.

I was already planning on returning the JBL party speaker 100 just because its massive, and although its a little louder and boomier then the Aura 3 I am not gonna be throwing any parties or anything so I feel its not necessary. I do like the aura 3 sound, its very clear and obvi the sound is 360, plus that sub woofer on the bottom shakes my floor and i like it.

Would you advise me to get this one and maybe compare it to the Aura 3?

thanks

What would you say is the main difference between the aura 3 , jbl party speaker 110 and the one in this listing? I am wondering if the one in this thread is what im looking for almost an in between the aura 3 and huge jbl party speaker 110. Plus im assuming this one is portable as opposed to the aura 3.

Before i purchased these speakers, I have only used JBL extreme 3 and Bose Soundlink revolve +. Thanks in advance Im just unsure and trying to decide if i need to grab this one to compare to the others
