Don't waste $$$ for almost never use sockets unless you have tons of $ to spare with.....
SAE is outdated and almost no-one use these days. All US cars are made with metric
SAE is still used around and in the house like your HVAC, plumbing pipes, etc.

Sell the SAE sockets on FB Marketplace for $75, or just buy the Milwaukee 19-pc deep metric impact socket set for $75 and get the Astro nano metric socket set off Amazon to cover the shallows

I honestly don't get how there are always people posting replies on socket and wrench deals saying SAE sizes aren't used anymore.

PSA: SAE is still widely in use.

Also, sweet deal. Thumbs up!

I'd buy if it was an all metric set. I have no use for that many SAE pieces.

Any reason to use the non impact sockets v.s. only using the impact ones?

Thanks, OP! Sounds like a pretty decent deal. Best price online for the impact set has been around $85 throughout the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season. The non-impact socket set is still on sale for $99 right now, so you're basically getting the non-impact socket set for $64 in this deal.

Chrome are for hand tools. Black are for powered tools.

Never used their chrome sockets, but I think the impacts are super dope. I love the deep painted markings. That's a killer feature when you're on your back under a dark car trying to find the right black socket.

The chrome sockets have thinner walls and will fit better into some places. But you can definitely get by with just impacts in a pinch.

Unless you want to change a toilet, install a garage door work on an old tractor or drive in a lag bolt in a deck. All SAE
I completely agree about SAE, but with Spax/GRK fasteners available, hex head lags are outdated.

I work on Jeeps daily and I need SAE and metric. Aftermarket bumpers and rock sliders are usually supplied with SAE hardwares.

If you work on vehicles as a hobby, you should have both SAE and metric tools.

There is not much more frustrating like rounded bolt head or nuts from using wrong socket when you are trying to finish your project on your daily driver before Monday.

I don't think he's telling us the truth. No way a Milwaukee impact set will cost $50. But if I am wrong share the link if he ever sends it to you

Items can go on clearance in-store. It's very much YMMV.
