This or $310 ASUS Vivobook 14" FHD Display, i3-1215U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, Webcam, Touchpad, Windows 11 Home, Blue:

Sure this seems better due to cpu but 8gb ram and 256gb ssd...I guess this is if its for you to upgrade later but looking for family high schooler.

EDIT: Another laptop $320 with 300nits, IPS screen(Not sure if this post ahs TN or IPS), tocuhscreen, microsd (but this has another usb-c), might be more difference idk

might be a dumb question - but how do you know for sure there is an open RAM slot and if there's room for another m.2 drive? I looked at the manual for this model on Asus site but it doesn't say anything definitively about either of those. thank you!

Answered my own question: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/f.../techspec/ and scroll to "expansion slots"
