Great price. Going to grab a few to throw up in the gift closet as I got tired of trying to come up with generic but novel gifts for Secret Santa/white elephant gift exchanges for my kids. They're perfect for big kids/preteens. My 12 year old received one with interchangeable plates and was making waffles with it Christmas morning.

So I bought two of these, and since they are 500w, you should be able to run both on one socket. I run two on the same socket no issue. These are really neat and the kids love them. The only downside I see is the cooking time - 6 and a half to seven minutes to cook each waffle. Like I said before, I bought two, but it's still fairly slow

that costco $10 interchangeable plates has the plates design upside down though. the flat plate is on top. still not sure how they have the cakes come out like the pict. for using the plate not even related to the pict.

Nah, it's cuz the demand is low for 2 reasons. Novelty items like this is usually one and done. Goes away in a cubbard after 1 use. Second, there's a better alternative for these like the kind with removable plates. That's the one I got because it saves space rather than getting 10 different waffle makers.
