Reading the reviews it looks like it's the 51 cup size is the one not airtight because it doesn't have side latches on the flap lid. The one that OP posted looks to have its own side latches and should be airtight.

I don't think this is a shill situation. Lock n' Lock has been around for years and makes good stuff. On top of some hand-me-down containers I've got that are still going strong, I really like the glass set they make for Sam's Club. I actually much prefer it over the Pyrex set from Costco. I don't have any experience with these larger 21+ cup containers but all the smaller ones I've got are great!

It's not air tight. I've bought this once and returned it right away. The gasket where it starts to bend does not have a good seal.

This product should be fine if you storing sealed or packaged products. I wouldn't use it for rice or pet food.

Would've been a perfect product if it had an extra hinge lock in the back otherwise a fail. No matter, deal is dead.
