Run out of 5G/LTE data mid-cycle?
We got you covered with mid-cycle add-ons with two different options.
ADD$2 100 MB of the highest speeds (per 30 days)
ADD$5 250 MB of the highest speeds (per 30 days)
Remember, our add-ons do not roll over cycle to cycle so if today is the last day of the 30 day cycle for your service and you're out of texts, it may benefit you to wait one day for the new 30 day cycle to start. However if you need the additional minutes, texts or data, you can refill directly through your RedPocket account from your mobile phone or your desktop!

I have an older 5GB plan on my phone from last Black Friday season. Got it on eBay. Paid $120 at the time. That plan included hotspotting without a datacap... meaning I could use all of my 5GB of data via a hotspot through my phone, and presuably the "unlimited" 2G data that RP includes when your monthly data allowance is exhausted.
I went ahead and bit the bullet a couple of weeks ago and renewed via the $160 eBay sale price (yeah, I'm out $40... oh well). I know from experience that when applying a code to your account, if the code is for the exact same plan that you're already on, the system is supposed to add 360 days to your existing expiration date. If the code is for a different plan, the old plan is terminated and your new plan expires 360 days from that day. Sure, I could wait until "termination day" and apply the code to not worry about it, but I might be busy, and if it's supposed to just add 360 days, why not do it now?
Since I wanted to confirm that the expiration date would extend out into January 2025 rather than early December 2024, I got a CSR with me in chat. He confirmed that my understanding was correct - same plan = +360 days. So when I applied the code and the date came out wrong, the CSR fixed it on the spot. I'm good until late January 2025.
But here's the thing..... the previous plan HAD hotspotting. The new plan probably DOES NOT have hotspotting (otherwise the local RP guy would've quickly confirmed that as a feature). But when I applied the current 5GB eBay code to an existing 5GB eBay RP account - my hotspotting continues to work without a hitch.
Bear in mind - one data point does NOT mean that I've somehow broken the code. But if you have an existing Red Pocket 5GB plan you paid for through RP's eBay store last year, and you buy an identical plan as a renewal.... if you have hotspotting before, there's every reason to believe you'll have hotspotting later too. Just don't change plans....
Caveat emptor, YMMV, all those disclaimers go here.
I think it's time for a new marketing team. Whoever designed your marketing and pricing strategy this holiday season should be transitioned to another function…or firm. You lost many long term customers, and now you'll have to fight tooth and nail to replace them with new ones…If it's even possible at all. This was your New Coke moment.

Generally how is Red Pocket these days? I don't know if it's my phone or Boost's SIM cards but I've had 2 SIM cards go bad with Boost in the last 6 months and every time it's at least a couple days without a phone.
Historically they have always offered similar promos for Black Friday. This year they either decided to stop or just didn't think it thru. This particular plan had been $120 in previous years (no shipping charge either). This year they were $186 for Black Friday. After the apparent exodus, including me, they lowered to $166 about a few weeks ago. Now today, @ $126. To each his own to determine how sound a strategy this was. The funny thing is that given how RP utilized 360 day years, all users would eventually have an issue with 'plan creep' as their renewal dates creep forward. And given they held sales only 2-3 times a year and on only certain plans, and purchases had to be activated within 90 days, all users would eventually face a decision on renewing at full price. But RP decided to accelerate that issue to the masses.
In any event, I transitioned to U.S. Mobile.

3gb data/mo CDMA verizon
5gb data/mo GSMa att
I tried to do the ebay thing last year, but there wasn't an exact annual plan available, so I just purchased the $180 plan on RP website.
I seems like this deal would work since there is a renewal option, but I'd have to renew a couple months before my current plan expires. but I'd still come out ahead assuming the hotspot carries over. I wish they'd be more clear about this.
The plans annual plans on RP website currently only offer hotspot with their unlimited plans
https://www.redpocket.c
And this ebay deals says it's 61% off their $305.00 regular price, which doesn't correspond to any annual plan on RP website.
edit: I went ahead and took a chance. One shipping charge for 2 sim renewals + $12.70 in tax, $258.37 for 2

Could you please let us know what you did to solve the port out issue, I tried to port out but failed, they claim they released the number but it's not.
