I think he was trying to mention that YMMV clearance deals are heavily location-dependent and unavailable to most (for instance, I could not find that TV within 150 miles of my house). Since ordering this online from Walmart is something available to everyone, not a nitch deal, that most should not base their decision on a deal they most likely never could or will get. We have all gotten local deals that other people in the country are jealous of but those rare instances and should not detract from an actual widely available deal

This was clearance pricing, there is very limited inventory of that TV then and even less so now.

I recently purchased this TV for $999 (darn right I'm getting a price match) and couldn't be happier. I am coming from a 12 year old Samsung 55 inch and I'm not certain I'll be able to truly tell the difference between C3/C4 etc. I'm just not that sophisticated. I couldn't be happier with this TV. I have it in a very bright room and have no issues with brightness, and even with the glossy type finish, the OLED does an amazing job of not being overly reflective when the TV is on.

I get that but i mentioned in my post that it's a good deal if you want one right now. I understand YMMV posts are location dependent but I am patient when making big purchases and slickdeals has helped me save on these purchases but I've had to wait. I made that comment for others like myself who are willing to wait. So many on slickdeals are so quick to criticize others without taking the time to understand and this makes hesitant in sharing. I thought slickdeals was for sharing deals and strategies but I guess I was wrong and that's on me.

This is sold by Beach Camera, fulfilled by Walmart. I've been trying to buy this for a few days based on another post and had problems with immediate cancellations. I tried again via Walmart to no success this morning.

So I called Beach Camera directly to ask why I was getting cancellations. Agent said because my billing address and shipping address didn't match, Walmart more then a likely flagged my account as fraud prevention. He said it's tough to overturn it. So I was able to order directly from beach camera over the phone. They were great!
