And for a charger similar to this plus this many batteries with similar specs was 9$ for the charger that could also charge 9v and 13$ for the batteries AA.
The NihM or whatever they are called I think are the way to go but the low state of charge thing is a problem when they sit for weeks or months for all of them.
Also I learned 1.2v is common for them and I wondered why there wasn't any 1.5v like alkaline batteries.
So alkaline batteries can produce 1.5v but they taper off and lose that voltage pretty quickly. That's why you will find those batteries your device will slow down
The 1.2v nihm style batteries stay consistently 1.2 as they drain down, similar to a lithium ion battery.
I use the Tenavolts [amazon.com] ones and it's been running for around 3 months so far on single charge.
Unsure how battery life works with regular lithium however as mine just says 'OK' for battery life. I think that's the complaint about finding rechargeable. It's either OK or dead and you don't get a battery %.
