Tried a couple flocked trees, each a different brand, but smaller than this one. And yes, the flocking does begin to flake off during assembly each year. I was indifferent about the look of flocking...but the increasingly extra mess each year during put-up and take-down was a definite negative, so we donated them and have been on non-flocked ever since.

Has anyone had a flocked tree long term and had issues with the snow coming off and making a mess? Or is it pretty solid?

We haven't minded. Fairly quick to vacuum up, and once it's up it does okay.

Seems like a great deal

Agreed. 1 minute sweep put-up and 1 minute sweep take down. I have a similar tree. Same brand from Lowes. The flock with white light is stunning. The sweep is worth it.

Yes - we DIY'd the flocking and it makes a big flocking mess every year. I'm about to throw out our old tree for this reason. Wondering if the pre-flocked will be cleaner or if we just go back to a standard edition flockless (unflocked?) tree.

Some do a little, just with movement , but it's worth it. Had a few for 5+years. They usually look great also and add that extra unique beauty if you're someone who has several trees.

My tree has a good flocking that never comes, it's like a cotton material. The beauty it adds is definitely worth the extra cost!
