Which store was this for $5? It's much higher in this area.

Looks to be about 68-69 bits pictured. I thought it was a bit light on bits in the image and came here to suggest a larger set, but then noticed that there were rows hiding behind the pictured.

My beloved set only has ~54 and I take apart damn near anything that breaks to both educate myself and see if I can fix it. Can't even count how many times I've encountered a strange head and thought "don't think anything will fit," only to find either the exact bit I needed or was able to fit a 6-point star bit in and grab a corner. Don't underestimate the star bits - they're super versatile.

Especially for this price, I can excuse a lack of variety of spudgers, pokey things, more precision tweezers, and wedges (which are mainly useful for tablet/phone repairs and other ultra-low profile items that you probably can't repair anyways). I've seen precision screwdriver sets at $20-30 with a better variety, but if you're a 'have every tool for the job' person like me you're probably best off buying a more complete dedicated set that can be had at $10 anyways. I thought they'd be really handy to have in the set I bought, but honestly I don't know if reached for them more than once.

A small number of 1-star reviews do mention bits are a bit soft, but I think that's fairly common with cheaper precision bits sets. After several laptops, remote controls, mice, space heaters, etc., my similar star off-brand have definitely shed some metal shavings (especially the star points that I use for the wrong screw hole), but none have been rendered useless after 6 years of household use. If you are doing professional, bulk repair it's something that I'd keep in mind - but with how darn tiny these bits are it's something that I'd just expect from 1-2mm edges.

Walmart Supercenter #5644 in Irvine, CA. They had 50% all Christmas decorations and the small tool stocking stuffer type items were $3 or $5 depending on the original price point.

For $5 each I got the 4v electric screwdriver, 77-piece precision tool kit, laser torpedo level, and the magnetic tray+pick up tool was $3.

The 4v rotary tool was $5 as well which I should have picked up in hindsight for touching up 3d prints, but it's not worth a drive out there alone for it so I'll check again next time I'm passing by.

Thinking about going in walmart made me realize I don't need these even for $5 bucks, much less $10.

This has been at this price since the summer and possibly even before that. At this point, it's the regular price and not a deal.
