This post requires a bit of clarification.
There are two different discounts here, a multibuy discount (buy 3 get $10 off), and the usual Buy 5 get $20 off, and Buy 10 Get $50 off. If you have 3 or more of the multibuy discount eligible products, then you'd get the extra $10 off when you try to buy 5/10 items. Otherwise you'd get only $20/$50 off. E.g.
https://www.costco.com/.product.182129
doesn't have the multibuy discount, so only getting 50 off on this if you add 10 to cart. On the other hand,
https://www.costco.com/.product.181126
has the multibuy discount, so getting 60 off if you add 10 to cart.
Costco also shows the manufactured coupon savings combined along with the coupon savings, so if you have a $4 manufacturer coupon, and you add 10 of those to the cart, and it is also eligible for multibuy discount ($10 off 3), then the total discount the cart would show is 50 + 10 + 40 (4*10) = 100. One of the comments in the first page talk about a $100 discount and that's where it comes from.

Good until January 19.I just put 10 of these [costco.com] into my cart and it did take $60 off so I think OP is right. Maybe the $10 and $50 discounts are stacking?
The pants are normally $14.97 but they're $4 off each. That's where the extra $40 is coming from. That confused me at first too lol.

But big bulk discount applies for multiple orders.
If someone who has just ordered can confirm, that be helpful.
