BalanceFrom Lat Pull-Down Attachment on sale again. Not the lowest price we've seen, but still a good price and tends to sell out quickly. I missed out when it was $45 and $75 and don't foresee it being available for that price for a while. Grab it if your wallets haven't been drained completely from the holiday.

Anyone have any experience with this cage and attachment? Experienced lifters with soon to be two kids and busy jobs who can't get to the gym as much as we'd like. Thinking this, a good adjustable bench, barbell, about 450lbs or so and some rep pepin adjustable dumbbells that reach 105. Any suggestions?

Bought this in August on a Slickdeals. Totally worth the current deal. It's not the most solid piece of equipment you'll find but I've had it loaded up pretty good and felt safe. It was perfect for me since it is shorter than most power racks and fit just right in my garage. Attachment is great too, very smooth. For adjustable dumbbells, I've had a few different sets and like the power block expandable the best.

The cage would prob be fine (as long as you are well within the weight limit). I bought a fitness reality 1.5k lb limit squat rack for 5x the price, and it is great BUT the. Lat pulldown system is god awful. Seems like your an avid lifter, so I would suggest doing research and investing in a high quality cage + pulley system. If u have the space u can go with this cage and then buy a separate pulley and pulldown system. Rogue and titan are both brands people love. Glucks gym and garage gym reviews on yt r excellent sources.

I use cheap adjustable dumbells (zero gravity is the brand). I would recommend ironmaster v2 adjustable bench system + dumbbells if u use them frequently. Adjustable and can drop them + system has spotting attachments etc for the bench. I hope this helps. In general for fitness stuff u get what u pay for. Probably some decent new years sales incoming

I have had this cage for two years, it is holding up great. But I do not lift that much heavy, I typically just go about 160lbs max. It claims to hold 1000lbs, but it does wobble when I do pullup and dips (I weigh 160lbs). So If I do 450lbs routinely (wish I could lol) I think I'll look for something more sturdy.

Some suggestions:
1. Buy a decent rack, bench, and setup. For home use, you can do it for under $1,000.
2. I have this setup (rack and pulldown/row attachment). I am happy with it. I did a tweak when I put it together and added washers with every bolt. I think it makes it more stable. I suggest that for any rack. I am 200 lbs and this is very stable even when doing weighted pull-ups.
3. This rack is an odd size. It has a 2.35" frame. Attachments are not as available as they are for 2", 2.5", and 3" uprights.
4. Buy a rack that has either 2.5", 3", or 2x3" uprights. Obviously, they will be heavier duty than 2".
5. If you want to do other cable movements (cable flyes, reverse flyes, chest press, etc.), consider another rack with a two-cable system. I bought an add on attachment that works but would be nice to have a system with two cables built in.
6. There are several options on Amazon in the $500-$700 range that have dual-cable, lots of attachments, etc. Some include a bench (a little north of $700). This is just one: https://www.amazon.com/Sportsroya...0CGR181Y6/

This isn't an all time Slick Deal for this cage or lat pull down. Check Slick Deals history. Price fluctuates all over the place on the BalanceFrom products from Walmart.

Cage was $129, now is $198.

Lat Pull Down was $48, now is $88.

Not Slick. It has been this price for a while.

For the price it's amazing. If youre doing any real power lifting it has to be bolted down or secured in some way. It will work unbolted obviously but it starts to wobble too much for my liking.

I haven't put too much weight on the cable system (maybe 180 max) but it seems to handle it fine. A little flexing but nothing crazy. The cable has no dampening or stability built in so if you're going for explosive type lifting then you will bounce the around which feels super unsafe so I only do slow and controlled with that.

*IT comes in several boxes. the boxes are NOT made for the kind of weight they pack so lay everything out before you built. I had random bits missing but don't recall getting replacements being that hard.

Cage is great. I do not have this lat pull down, but I have used this cage multiple times per week for 2+ years. I did buy beefier J Hooks. The included ones are OK, but when throwing higher weight on them, I wanted something better built.

Seems like a good price for the lat pull down.

Price is about regular price when you start looking on amazon. I recently bought the same style but just a different brand (sportsroyal) that comes with the lat pull down, has bigger foot rests, safty bars instead of pins, spot for lifting bands, barbell holder, and also has a landmine attachment for $315. As usual after my purchase the same set came on sale for around $300

I bought the cage + pulldown combo, and the pulldown never came. Instead of just sending me the pulldown, they sent me a another cage plus the pulldown. I've had this for about three years, and use the pulldown regularly. It holds up to use, and looks simple to repair in the event anything fails.
