I found these for sale for $264. Being the Xbox version is compatible with PS5 but not the other way around. Also I was able to get Best Buy to price match it as well to have it locally.

Only the wired versions are Hi Fi certified, so keep that in mind if you're an audiophile.

And if you direct connect to the hub instead of wireless does that make them the same as the wired version?

Just wanted to note it looks like Best Buy matched the Amazon price so you can get them direct from them as well https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/...source=PDP

I hooked these up earlier today. They sound fantastic and the swappable batteries will mean I can replace my work usb headphones with these

Still overpriced. If you can get them below 150, then it'll be a deal.
For nova pro? Good luck. All time low price was $250 so it's as close to that low as it's been since they came out. They also don't have the white noise issue the regular pro has

At full price people are better off getting the Audeze Maxwell. These are not a good value with sound and the microphone isn't good, especially for consoles.

Both are great and have their advantages, but I'm getting the wired exactly for that reason.

best part is you can hook these up to bluetooth while also playing your game at same time.

Can someone please help me with my question? I am using audio technica m50 wired for work calls(only audio and a separate microphone). If I connect the 3.5mm cable to the base station can the headset work wirelessly?

I bought this recently and just want to say that it was incredibly uncomfortable and I ended up buying the Astro A50X instead

For starters NO. These are worth it even at $270. Possibly not as much as $165 but if I knew then what I know now, definitely worth it. Dual batteries, easy connection, retractable mic, Bluetooth mode so it can be used as a standalone headset, updates still being supported, you can buy the batteries alone and I've been using mine religiously for the past 3 or 4 months and they still feel and sound like new. Also as a retired Audiophile, even if not certified as HI FI they sound fantastic and only true audiophiles would be able to tell a difference. I bought mine from woot at $149 plus tax and came out to about $165. (Not the Xbox version the pS5 version)
Sorry to chime in but I think it's best for people who ACTUALLY own this and use them to leave their opinions than those who don't.

No. They really are not. I have both. What you said about Bluetooth, easy connection standalone etc applies to the Maxwell as well, except they're actually worth the price. Maxwell's can last up to 80 hrs. They're also made from an audiophile company. You claim to be one, but that seems dubious (maybe you were, just not a good one) because these Novas don't sound great when compared to the Maxwell which have 90mm planar magnetic drivers.

If you want others to fall for the marketing, that's fine. However, there are better headsets out there for the value. Maybe you should pick up the competing headset before you act smug.

Microphone is bad on the Maxwells too, lol. Have you actually used both of these, or just parroting?

The Maxwells were far too heavy for longer sessions imo, and there is a "white noise" when there is no sound, which bothers me (personal preference). They do sound better though, and the mic fully detaches which may be preferable to some.
