It worked for me also, I called a couple weeks back about the second price increase in the same year. They said it was the cost of doing business. They offered this promo and gave me a free month.

I followed the OP's instruction and didn't have this offer, however I got an even better deal that is saving us $50 per month. I went to manage plans online and there's now a discount for Gigabit on my account and free router rental.
