Ya on US govt banning these probably. Issue is TP link has been very lazy patching vulnerabilities such that 0-days sit for months unfixed, where you basically need pfsense sitting in front of these things, not so much a CCP issue.
With that said, huge drop off in quality of recent hardware, as an owner of two sets of deco mesh systems - I am frankly annoyed and disappointed with their rushed / horrible WiFi 7 product. As an ODM they should do better, regarding the Costco FP deal here from this summer for the be11000, it has been such trash it's unbelievable, worst system I've owned in years. Drop outs constantly, loopback issues on wired backhaul, beamforming is completely broken, and fast roaming causes tons of issues. As a point of reference on my WiFi 6 Deco, rock solid, no issues for years.
The engineers keep pushing out new firmware to try to bandaid the very clearly beta hardware they shipped including channel selection ability and channel width selection on each band - and it's just very unstable and not a good product. Hugely disappointed compared to the xe75 and x68 offerings - so anyways proceed with caution.
That said the W7200 (x68) is a fantastic, albeit dated product - that should be fine if you have a 300/300 or less connection
