I believe on the usb site the speed is measured lower than advertised because on Amazon, you have much faster speed read on actual usb 3.2 gen 2 connectors. So, it's actually not that much slower than advertised.

I have the 1TB version, the read speed reached 1000mb/s when tested with Crystal Disk Mark.
