Poor reviews and increased spam texts/calls reported
My experience with InfiMobile has been fine. I tried a 6-month, minimal data plan (500MB/month) with them for a non-critical phone last year. It was dirt-cheap like $18 total so just $3/month. It went fine so I just renewed it for a year for $36 total ($60 - 40% off coupon).

Now because of the whole Red Pocket fiasco, I have moved two important lines over to InfiMobille on their 10GB annual plan for $99. One of the lines is already active for two weeks and no problems so far except initial APN setup (did not do it automatically so I followed online instructions for VZN-based service when I actually had a TMO-based SIM from them).

I have had limited interactions with InfiMobile customer service, which I guess is positive as it means things have worked okay. But when I did chat with them about the APN mixup I just mentioned, it was fine.

Anyway, point is that InfiMobile has worked fine for me, so much so that I have just moved over two important lines from Red Pocket because of the fiasco there. Not saying that my experience will be what everybody has (for example, it did not work well for you). But it seems to be working out well for many folks.
What's the Red Pocket fiasco?

There's another thread discussed about the service. FYI. https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/971106
I posted this since it seems better than 10gb plan.
I'm on 10gb yearly plan 4/12 with no issues, it's on burner phone😎

Very slow data connection with Verizon. I asked them to ship me the T-Mobile SIM card. I still haven't received it after 1 month. Email them and they refused to answer after first reply.

My niece has them and her experience is same.

Watch out with Red Pocket. I have purchased multiple yearly plans. They will cut off service one month early. And a year is not 365 days. More like 355 days.

I have to watch them like a hawk. They do resolve the issue if you contact them.

I've been using infimobile (Verizon) since September. So far so good, no problems. I get 5G UW with a Pixel 7A in NYC, about 280 MBPS download

These idiots lost my number when I ported to them in July (the $99/year deal). Google Voice did confirm it was successfully ported out, but these idiots screwed up somewhere. I'm glad it wasnt a number I relied on. I did finally get a refund after a lot of hassle.

Is that the normal UW speeds in NYC? In Kansas City (downtown), it's closer to 600 - 900Mbps on Verizon. I'm just curious if they're throttling back UW speeds with MVNOs or if NYC has a UW problem. It gets slower in areas around KC, but down to around 500. 280 is more 4G LTE speeds.

I got the $99 annual special 5 months ago. I really didn't need a lot of data and it was cheaper than Mint which I had for years. Mint was OK, but I had to pay for more than I needed and was looking for a better deal. At the time the reviews on the newer company were about 50-50 so I took a chance. I was able to port my Mint number to Infimobile in 10 minutes. Since setting up my phone (a pleasant surprise Nuu B30 Pro 5G) I have had zero problems with voice, text, or data. I am not a heavy user, so the price I paid for what I got was very good for me. I'm hoping when my year is up they offer a similar deal as I am happy with Infimobile and would renew.

Their prices have gone up a lot. They have traditionally had a sale around Black Friday for a 5GB plan for $120 annually--many people rely on that to renew. This year, it did not appear, and price was up at $180. A couple of weeks later, it dropped to $160. Now, probably on seeing many people jump ship, they finally dropped the price back to the traditional $120, but in many cases, it was too late for folks who waited it out and eventually left for significantly cheaper plans (like on InfiMobile among other spots). Beyond that, they recently cut back international calling from 85 countries down to just 20. Also, there are questions whether new plans actually allow hotspot usage or not (according to the website, no, but according to RP reps, yes). BTW, I think USB tethering is still possible--I have to confirm this. Also, they starting charging a bunch of extra fees so when the 5GB plan was at $160, it was actually about $185 out the door. Plus, via eBay, when they send you a renewal code by e-mail, they started charging shipping, which is completely absurd. Anyway, these are most of the big things, I think, but yeah, a bunch of other small annoying things, too.

I would have stayed with RP simply out of inertia but with the InfiMobile 10GB plan for $99 (plus taxes total of ~$103), it was really impossible to justify staying with RP for their 5GB plan for $120 (plus unknown taxes/fees). And it was also an issue of timing--this $120 5GB plan just appeared--like more than a month after it usually does.

Are there specific APN instructions for Tmobile based versus Verizon? I'm having a hell of a time trying to get support from them. They say my SIM is Verizon and the APN they give me over chat does not have data or MMS.
There is another Verizon APN on their website (4 APN settings actually) and with those, still no MMS but at least I get data.
Honestly, I wish I went with Mint or Tello on that line. I have 6 total lines and the ones on Tello and Mint were easy with zero issues.
Here are the APN specs that work for me on one of InfiMobile's TMO-based SIMs:

Wow, that's too bad. Lessons learned. Better not to text too much.
FYI, Red Pocket has this issue, too--you supposedly have unlimited text messages, but that is only if RP does not consider your use abusive. But they do not specifically define what abusive is, and furthermore, the one case in which it was triggered for me daughter, it seems absurd that they did this. She does not use text messaging very much, but one time last year when she was working on a school project with about 10 peers, they started up a chat group for a final presentation they had to give. Between all of them, they sent like 150 messages over the span of an hour as they were doing final preps for their presentation. That was enough for RP's algorithm to classify it as abuse, and it automatically suspended her line with no warning or notification whatsoever. We were worried all day because we were not able to keep in touch with her, and figured she must have busted her phone. Instead, when she got home, she said her phone had not been working all day. So that's when I went to the RP website and figured out her line had been suspended. The RP CS told me they could not provide specific details about why the line had been suspended, and said it was because she was probably abusing premium numbers like weather/horoscope lines. That's what made me talk with her and figure out the story--no premium numbers whatsover, just a bunch of teenagers sending about 150 text messages and emojis back and forth over the span of an hour.

I cannot understand how this was classified as abusive--she hardly ever texts otherwise. If this went on for hoursor days, sure, that would be a different story. The worst part is that it could have led to a personal safety issue. Not to be dramatic, but imagine somebody gets kidnapped, they start sending out texts furiously, and then RP suspends their line with no warning whatsoever... They (RP) could have at least sent her a warning or a message to the e-mail associated with the account (mine).

Same scenario here with the APN issues. They were grayed out and could not be saved. I inquired by email on the issue and they sent me a new SIM for my gsm device I received 2 days later. Still wouldn't park my number there, I use GV.

No issues using their verizon-based service on two $100/year plans purchased via slickdeals 7 months ago. Recommended.

150 texts over 60 minutes isn't even a lot in a conversation between just 2 people. That's 2.5 texts/minute or a text every 24 seconds.
