My experience with InfiMobile has been fine. I tried a 6-month, minimal data plan (500MB/month) with them for a non-critical phone last year. It was dirt-cheap like $18 total so just $3/month. It went fine so I just renewed it for a year for $36 total ($60 - 40% off coupon).

Now because of the whole Red Pocket fiasco, I have moved two important lines over to InfiMobille on their 10GB annual plan for $99. One of the lines is already active for two weeks and no problems so far except initial APN setup (did not do it automatically so I followed online instructions for VZN-based service when I actually had a TMO-based SIM from them).

I have had limited interactions with InfiMobile customer service, which I guess is positive as it means things have worked okay. But when I did chat with them about the APN mixup I just mentioned, it was fine.

Anyway, point is that InfiMobile has worked fine for me, so much so that I have just moved over two important lines from Red Pocket because of the fiasco there. Not saying that my experience will be what everybody has (for example, it did not work well for you). But it seems to be working out well for many folks.

Is the $36/year, 500MB/mo plan still available? From their plans page I see that one as the Deal Buster starter plan (12-Month), but there is also a message at the top that says INFI40 code cannot be applied to 500MB plans. During checkout I also don't see any field for "promo code" or "coupon code"...
I just looked and like you are reporting, it seems that the 40% off INFI40 code is no longer available for use with the 500GB plan. Bummer. I bought the 12-month 500MB plan in early November when the 40% code still worked for the 500GB plan. I'm not sure when they changed it.

Wow, and there's a 20% off coupon on top of $36! Too bad my plan with other provider ends on 1/5 so I only have 5 days to port out and delivery for Amazon will be too late Frown

Hotspot/tether can be added during activation for $5 a month, but otherwise no hotspot.
I never understood this. I've used (unlocked) Pixels for years and have never paid for hotspot on 4 or 5 MVNOs. I just use it. How would they even know?

Do not see 500GB you mentioned in your posts?
Err, I meant MB, not GB... This is an ultra-basic plan just to keep a phone alive and park a number.

They have 10GB for $99/12 months. If you don't need this extra 5GB-I think that's the ultimate sweet spot

There's another thread discussed about the service. FYI. https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/971106
I posted this since it seems better than 10gb plan.
I used the earlier promo for 10GB plan, so far it is good, no spams. Would have gone for this plan, had i seen this last month.

I too switched from RP to Infimobile. I had some issues porting my number from RP, but both RP and Infimobile CS's were helpful in getting the job done. Initially, Infimobile had issues porting my line using Verizon so they switched me over to T-Mobile. 20 minutes later, everything worked. No complaints so far with Infimobile. For what it's worth, the 2-3 times when I called their CS I was connected to a live person fairly quickly (and they were able to help resolve my port issue). I would say that their CS is on par with RP.
Which MVNO is RP?

The last RP i know is the old RingPlus 😀.. It was very good while it lasted

Can you explain the Red Pocket fiasco? Or provide a reddit or news article link or share your experience with the Red Pocket fiasco. Is the problem with only verizon phones? Thx in advance.

Very slow data connection with Verizon. I asked them to ship me the T-Mobile SIM card. I still haven't received it after 1 month. Email them and they refused to answer after first reply.
have you done a speed test compared to a friend that have verizon direct? could be your location

Never had call voice issues in NJ been a customer for 6 months. Initially had 10GB bundled data vanishing like magic but now last 2 months that too is not an issue any more. Phone support looks to be based from India but that is same for almost many big named companies. You may have to call few times to get connected but once connected I was satisfied with customer support.

Only negative I can think of is not including hotspot and free India calling like few others providers are doing.
