This is 100% a trap.

Only valid 12/31 through sunrise on 1/1. You will Lyft somewhere and use the discount thinking you got a deal. And then the surge pricing to get home on NYE will be absolutely insane, like 5-10x normal prices and you'll be stuck paying it.
