Many poor reviews but if Fiskars stands by their lifetime warranty maybe you're protected especially if you are able to just walk into a store like Home Depot and get a replacement easily. Seems like there are a few different versions of these Fiskar saws and the other versions have a different type pulley system and blades and it just seems better designed and build quality. I might go to my Home Depot and check it out in person to see if I decide to buy it on clearance. I'll ask Home Depot about the Fiskars warranty too and how that process is handled.

I recall reading some folks indicating that fiskars has been making some cheaper more plastic tools that aren't covered by the warranty? Don't quote me… just sharing it's worth investigating.

I got a similar device from Costco a while ago. Unsure of differences.

I saw a video review on a exclusive Costco model by Fiskars and that one seemed to be better built with a hooked saw blade and I believe it extended to 16ft. Best for anyone getting this deal to check it out and see the warranty details.

I picked one up yesterday. I cut two small limbs, and the pole snapped. I returned it this morning without incident.
