I use this thing all the time. And carry in my truck. Amazon has a nice case for it too, makes it easy to keep everything together. I recommend getting it if you don't already have one.

I got one of these from a similar deal (same seller) back in October. It's 100x better than lugging around a pancake compressor when having to top up our cars and bicycles. It's much quieter (though not exactly quiet), and the ability to pre-set the PSI is awesome.

This is only $4 more on Amazon right now, and I am deeply skeptical about the 'non-sale' comparison price. Has this ever been sold anywhere for $248?

I assume it takes a 20vlt Dewalt battery. where does it plug in? It maxs at 160 psi. Not seeing volume. Will a 4 AH battery pump up a 38" tire on my jeep.

If you have 38s and a Jeep I assume you have other air up solutions

Yes, DeWalt 20V Max battery. Slides in on the bottom, dead center. I've used 2Ah, 4Ah, and 5Ah batteries there.

It also has, behind a panel, a cord you can attach to a 12V battery to power it that way if your DeWalt battery dies. I've never used that, but consider it as a backup to the battery.

Not included, but available for purchase, is an adapter that will plug into 120 VAC wall power.

I now use this regularly to top up 4x tires on one of my cars without concern for battery running out. I doubt any problems with your 38" tire. But the 12V backup is there if you need.

Regarding pressure and volume, these pumps have two completely separate pumps for that. A low-pressure centrifugal pump for inflating floats, kites, etc. that need a lot of volume, but pressure near zero.

And a high-pressure pump for inflating tires.

For example, when inflating my wingfoil wings, I use the low pressure to get them full at barely any pressure (definitely less than 3.0 psi, which is when the gauge responds). Then I switch to the high-pressure pump and take it up to 7 or so psi as I need. When doing that, the gauge reads at zero until it reaches 3.0 and then it shows pressure climb to the setpoint.

I have actual air compressors for air tools, etc., and hardly ever use them any more, now having this thing. Just so convenient.

I love this thing, no problem inflating large off-road truck tires from flat to full. My 5ah batteries last a long time in it.
The manual for mine says:
Quote :
The maximum run time for the inflator model number DCC020IB is 10 minutes if the pressure rating for the item being inflated is above 100 psi. After 10 minutes of continuous use, it is recommended to let the inflator rest for 20 minutes before reusing
Other similar inflators for Ryobi have a max runtime of 5 minutes regardless of the inflation pressure.

I was able to get it for $84 (79.99) through an online chat with Home Depot where they matched the Bomgaars 79.99 deal. FWIW and for those that care, the one I got is "type 1" but when I went in to Home Depot and Lowe's the other day all they had in stock was type 1.

Mine has a 12v cigarette plug in also. In my experience a 4ah battery will do four tires.

The thing I love on this one for offroad use is that not only is it strong and quick it is a set it and forget it just dial the desire red PSI and it will automatically cut off when done.

This is a fantastic tool, the auto-stop when reaching target PSI is an incredible feature, it's nice to just be able to walk away while it fills your tire.

These items are a quality upgrade and will make your inflator much easier to use:

JACO Lightning S2-Series Tire Air... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZHM5W91

Milton S-684-4 1/4" MNPT Male... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001PLI4BA

The inflator is threaded-only out of the box, a bit annoying to use. These parts will give you a quick release chuck for much improved use.

$5 more at Home Depot and I can actually go in and check the package to ensure it says "type 2" for the internal pump. Either way, a good deal for someone looking for one under $100.

Got 1 as a gift. Has saved me from spending $ at my local gas station. Set the pressure and let it run. Live in Mich and our roads are rotten. I am very careful to treat the connecting hose with care...looks like a weak spot.

I compliment this tool every time it's posted. It's fantastic.

If you're on the fence, this one's a buy, especially at at $100 or less.
