Just a friendly PSA, as a fellow pet owner/lover: Minoxidil is incredibly toxic to cats and dogs.
Bought the foam last time.
Foam stops coming out when bottle is still full. I wouldn't recommend it.
Costco members can get the liquid at a similar price without the expiration date being so soon.
$14 for 6 bottles with $6 for shipping.

It'll probably just get less effective. I wouldn't say it'd go "bad" per se.
Due to how Minoxidil works, you absolutely do not want to be using a weaker version.

I have always been concerned about unwanted side effects from this hair loss chemical, who knows what it can do after 5-10 years use!
It's already been thoroughly tested and it's safe long term.

It actually is somewhat individual. For some people and some type of hair loss it just doesn't work. For me it was helpful but not in a major way so I stopped using it. I have friends who had spectacular results and friends who had no results at all. I would say at this price it is worth trying for a year. There is only one other FDA approved thing called finasteride but my memory is that was stronger with possible more significant side effects so never tried it.

Also the only real "solution" is hair transplant which is way more expensive though.
It works the same for everyone. You just have a more serious genetic rate of hair loss. If it's MPB I would recommend a 1mg generic finasteride and minoxidil combo. Both safe, both for MPB, both cheap.

What kinds of side effects can one expect from this?
Itchy scalp that's about it. It's safe and effective.

If you're a woman, also take iron supplements.
Also, hypothyroidism. This isn't as common in men (but can happen). The prevalence [nih.gov]is ~ 1 in 10 to 1 in 9 women in the US. Easily treated with inexpensive meds.

My wife said she'll love me no matter how much hair is on my head.

I'm no hoity toity organic maniac, but the thought of daily medicine for the rest of my life isn't worth it.

I'll just keep my comb over growing and growing and growing.
That's great for you but for many men having hair is the number 2 most important thing aesthetically for men after height.
For many this is an easy, cheap, and safe fix for keeping crown hair.

It's the same people that founded Woot, started up after they sold to Amazon and honored whatever non compete clause they may have had.

As someone who tried this stuff to Okayish results years ago, I had to stop due to unbearable itching of the scalp that developed. Literally couldn't sleep because of it. Just be forewarned of the possibility.

Not a bad deal but I just bought the Costco one a few days ago so I should be good for six months.
I'm kind of wondering if one brand is superior to the other.
Probably all made by Perrigo with just different bottles

I think it is absolutely fine to use for 3-6 months after the expiration date. It will still be good.
