FWIW, I made a low ball offer on the 77" Q90D on Greentoe and got a counter offer of $1999. They don't charge tax or shipping.
I'm really torn on what TV to get. From, what I've seen, LG OLED lose so much brightness on SDR gaming, vs the QD-OLED on these Samsung panels, but then Samsung is too proud to license DV and DTS and LG arguably has better software and support as well.
I'm fine with an LED panel but the good ones cost nearly as much as decent OLED panels. No idea what to get. Do a lot of console gaming, was considering some of the LED Bravia deals.

I had this same problem, between the c4, s90d and the u8n but I ultimately went with the c4 because of the better picture smoothing and processing. I have my cpu hooked up to it as well but it's mostly mixed usage. If I was doing more gaming I would have went with the s90D. Either choice is gonna be great as they both are fantastic sets.
I have s90c and wouldn't recommend Samsung. It's not the best what you pay for. Go for Sony slightly expensive but won't be disappointing. Compare displays at best buy

Buy a tv for its display. Use an Apple tv or shield pro and smoothing and processing are done on the device not the tv.

DV is overblown. Yes, I would rather have it than not but a TV with better picture quality/ panel is going to look better than a TV with worse picture quality and DV.
DV is not end all but a nice to have.
I'm not saying the c4 has worse picture quality/panel since it can be subjective but people tend to lean towards qd-oled rather than woled.
I currently have an LG c1 with DV and I have the s90d coming to replace it next week. Could care less about it not having DV if it's brighter and has a wider color gamut

I've heard some major horror stories about the S90D. Mainly, the panels are a "lottery" as Samsung ships both the QD and W under the same model numbers. And many customers reporting a black screen after a few months of use. 😶

They're not lottery. You have to research which sizes come with which panel for your region.
They are not shipped under the same model number. The qd oled panel ends in fxza for the US market. Please do your research
