I had 1-gigabit internet with Xfi Complete (for unlimited data) for a couple of years and was paying $115/month. I was tired of spending so much, so I called to decrease the plan or find any promotions. I got an upgrade to 2-gigabit with a 2-year contract for $88.
The 2-gigabit plan was not an option online.
Number I called: 1-800-934-6489
(I had to go through many menus to talk to a real person.)
Your mileage and availability may vary.
Note: I understand that I will not even be able to utilize 2-gigabit on most of my devices, but I plan to run some new CAT6 and get a 2.5Gb switch for my primary desktop.

I just ran the test with 2Gb plan and getting 355Mbps upload (I'm not sure what's it's actually supposed to be).
Lots of people review their expenses in the beginning of the year to tighten their belt after a few months of nonstop spending. Possible they are counteracting this?

Most households could get away with 500mbps these days as their max, though it would always be nice to have symmetrical up/download speeds. Even the most intensive household wouldn't really max out a 500mbps pipe unless they want/need multiple devices getting to 500mbps each, which is ludicrous.
We have 1gbps, and it's overkill for most of our needs.
I tried T-Mo @Home and while it was very promising at first, the second month of service was horrible and unusable at all. They've replaced the modem but the data did not improve.
Unfortunately those are the only two options I have in my area.
Can someone confirm if this is still the case?
Data Included with Monthly Price 1.2 TB
Charges for Additional Data Usage for customers without unlimited data or xFi Complete$10/50 GB*
*Maximum of $100 per month; not charged in first month of overages.
- I am happy with the 1.2GB but If I watch a lot of 4K movies I can get close to the Data Limit - Unlimited data would be a reason to upgrade
Oh and it is 50 bucks a month. 😂

Then I logged on the website and was offered "a new rate" on my same plan for what I was paying for 12 months. Still think it should be lower, but I took that for now.
I was also offered a free Xfinity mobile line at one point, along with a BOGO deal, which may have been good for two free lines for a year. I didn't take it, but was intrigued by that, even though my brief experience with Xfinity Mobile in the past was a disaster. Seems like there would be a deal to be had, especially with the trade in promos.
