In case you are wondering, this is sunscreen for skin types prone to acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation.

So you apply this daily whenever you go outdoors, correct?

If I use a Clinique moisturizer, this goes on top of that?

Yes, to be applied daily whether indoors or outdoors. You can still get some UV exposure when indoors. It can be applied after the moisturizer.

eltaMD was my go to sunscreen after la roche posay, however, both of them leave a white cast.

now i use biore aqua essense (japanese version) which leaves no white cast. only downside is it doesn't stay on as well as eltaMD b/c it's not water resistant.

It's not that cheapest, but it is a very reputable brand that makes quality products.
My dermatologist really likes it.

You can't compare the two. EltaMD is a mineral sunscreen meaning it uses a mineral (zinc oxide) to block UV rays. The biore one is a chemical sunscreen which uses 4 different active ingredients to absorb and dissipate the UV rays. Mineral is better, and EltaMD is very highly rated but like all mineral sunscreens it leaves a white cast and for me at least, causes skin breakouts

What do you mean by "mineral is better"?
