I have a lot of hours in this game and this is an amazing deal. Just keep in mind it is a punishing multiplayer experience until you learn the mechanics of the game. It is not a COD style shooter where you just beeline for objectives, it is team based and communication driven. The worst matches you'll play involve the teams that aren't communicating with each other and just want to play COD. Also if you run into an open field you are dead.

Really great game! Steep learning curve, but well worth it in my opinion. Expect to die a lot, especially in the beginning, but that's all part of it. The game revolves around squad and team communication, so while you can still have a reasonably good time without a mic, in my experience its a million times better with one. I've played since kickstarter, and its pretty much the only game I play at the moment. Overall the community is one of the better ones out there for welcoming new players.
Not really any microtransactions, outside of uniform DLC which is all aesthetic and is not required to play, nor does it give you any advantage.

The link is still 500 erroring for me. I just went straight to Epic Games, then to the Featured giveaways and it was right there. Easily added to cart and checked out.
I agree the extra DLC is crap.

pretty good deal, this is one of those games you can sink 1000 hours into and many have. It's a great blend of tactical "slow" shooter and action. No COD/Battlefield style antics. Good for people that don't necessarily want to be amped up on caffeine and need lightning reflexes.

Amazing game. Just don't go into it thinking COD or battlefield because you'll be very frustrated.

And if you suck at it, please don't respond to people that "level doesn't matter" because experience is king in this game and that's the same thing as level. High level = you know what to do.

Most realistic war game I've played.

I have over 1000 hours in this game. It is amazing. But please, don't give up. You will need about 100 hours to really get it. Stick with it.

Remember to use '-dx12' launch option for this game. I went from 60 FPS to 165 FPS using this, it seems to be very unoptimized without it using only 50% of my GPU.

What a banger of a free game. To reiterate: play with a microphone, teamwork is the real reason matches are won and lost. Learning the gameplay and roles takes time, but in my opinion is well worth the effort. This is a very welcome departure from COD style games, much more in the vein of ARMA and Squad, but a bit more approachable.

When I tried it you just run for 10 minutes to get to the battlefield and then die, then respawn 10 minutes away again. Wasn't much fun.
