That's fine if you just want to test it once. It doesn't help if you're trying to actively manage radon in your home.

i have 5x of the Airthings 2930 Wave Plus (Radon, Carbon Dioxide, VOCs, humidity, temperature and air pressure sensors). along with the Airthings 2810 Hub

i didn't go with the bluetooth method for adding these to HA (hence the 2810 hub) as i have them spread out quite a bit (crawlspace, backyard office etc) you're able to use an integration to pull the stats from their online api. some people understandably prefer to pull it directly from the device, i get it. i have a couple of other esp32 sensors for various things that i can still pull data locally. but the Airthings HA online integration has been solid

If you live in an area where radon is common I highly recommend testing when the weather is cold and the ground is snow covered.

We purchased a home with an active mitigation system during the summer and the radon inspection results were ~3. Due to the results not being <2 I purchased an Ecosense Ecoqube during Black Friday. Our initial results were 80+! Sometimes spiking over 100 on cold nights.

We have since had a second mitigation system installed which has drastically lowered the levels.

I have a house full of Wave Plus to monitor our recently upgraded radon mitigation to an active fan system. One word of warning is that these devices will not notify you of a low battery situation and the app doesn't send out a notification that a device has disconnected. I've added these devices to my list for my annual battery swap for smoke detectors and other critical battery-powered monitors.

PA

The radon mitigation company said that our home being located at the top of a steep hill potentially creates the issue.
