Last year on 12/13 it was $21.24 so this actually may be the best price now.

On the newegg site saw an ad for premium at 31.95, not sure how legit.

As others have stated...
KEEP WAITING...the price will Drop...Hopefully below $15.

Of course, it would be nice if it would be FAR when bundled w/crappy software.

Last few years i've purchased extra filing codes from people who only needed one. All were from fellow SD'ers.

Assuming you don't want to mail a paper copy to the state, are there cheaper options for e-file that are reliable? Some of the "other" sites seem a bit scammy. Also hate supporting HR Block after they lobbied to get rid of the free state file we used to have here.

it was $18 on Mar 10, 2023. See this link from 2023: https://slickdeals.net/f/16502626-h-r-block-tax-software-deluxe-state-2022-key-card-18. It's kind of late in the filing season, but if you really want to save $5 outside of this deal, you can wait and see if it will go that low again.

This is a pretty good deal for this early. You obviously don't want to install the bundled spyware "security suite". Just don't download that when Newegg sends you a link.

This stuff is trash. I used the software for 2 tax years last year. Both were flagged by the irs. The calculations made by the software were wrong on both. The Irs said I owed money instead of my usualy refund. I then used a different software to amend both returns and received a bigger refund the H & r had calculated with the errors. When I mentioned this to a friend he said he had a similar experience. H&r block wanted me to pay what the irs said I owed before they would do anything to see why their product was faulty. I have no doubt had I just paid h&r would have just blown me off. Complete trash.

I always use 2 different brands, usually both TT and HRB download versions if I can get them cheap enough, or I use a free online version to check the numbers. It's double entry, but I find mistakes sometimes. Usually my own mistakes. I think it is worth it. I got the scary you owe a huge amount letter from the IRS one time and I really didn't, just had to refile.

For those of us who don't need state, are there better deals to be expected. Also, what the limitation fo Basic? That with 50% off may be cheaper for me.

for those waiting for an even lower price is it a gamble that it'd go lower or does it always go lower as we go later into the season?
