Just for the record, this is a 3.125 gallon bucket max, so no go with the 5'er.

Or 11.83 litres for the metrically minded.

If you've ever made this popcorn, you know this slick deal is in the "tube of lube" next to the kernel packet.

Someone after my own heart. I used to work at a theatre. Can't stand going anymore.
Should've kicked those loud chewers out.

Kate do you take your air popper to the movie? I don't wanna hear that crap while I'm trying to watch the film.
No no no don't be silly, they and their entire family wear crazy oversized puffy jackets (in July) so they can each sneak in 3-4 gallon sized ziplock bags of cold popcorn into the theatre. #slickdealandcongealedbutter

*Jokes aside I cannot imagine how dirty some of these "buckets" are going to be.

12 quart stockpot is 3 gallons. A nice large popcorn tin is like $50, way too high.

I own an air popper. Walmart has 32 oz bags of popcorn kernels for $2.39. That pops to a couple of large garbage bags' worth of popcorn. This deal isn't slick. Doubly so if you add in the cost of overpriced tickets to see whatever mass market garbage Disney is popping out next month in a theater full of people loudly chewing popcorn.
You sound like you'd be fun at parties if you ever got invited.

I go to CInemark regularly and they offer one free refill when you get an XL popcorn (this deal is equivalent to two XL popcorns) just in case people don't want to bring their own bucket

To those complaining this isn't a SD because they can make their own popcorn for cheaper - yes of course you can, but you aren't making movie theater popcorn at home, at least unless you have a great setup, the right kernels and the fat juice.

Teenage me used to pop the corn for the local movie theater. The thing is, we didn't serve it the same day it was popped unless we were super busy that weekend. Anyone know if Cinemark pops it ahead of time and reheats it? If this is fresh popped I'm down for $5 bucket. Will smuggle in some Parmesan cheese packets to sprinkle on top of it. Now to figure out how to smuggle in REAL melted butter laugh out loud
