Not a particularly good deal. Travel inside Thailand is cheap. You can easily find a hotel in a great location for under $100 per night. Or rent the equivalent of a nice AirBnb for under $50 per night. You can get massages from a top-reviewed massage parlor for $25 per hour or more typical massage establishment for $10 per hour.

Just returned from Thailand last night. I've been there five times. I always book my own accommodation for the best bang for your buck and do a mixture of $10 and more expensive $30-40 massages. Not a very slick deal IMO…unless it can be claimed during Christmas or New Year week when prices can be VERY crazy.

We use Qatar Airlines now to fly to/from BKK from Phila with a short layover in Doha. An excellent airline!

I live half time US and other half Thailand. This is not really a very good deal. You can stay in really nice places for very little in Thailand.

It's not. Many Russians moved to Phuket when the Ukraine war started. There's a few Russian businesses catering to Russians but you're unlikely to see them in tourist areas.

It's exaggerated. I was in Phuket for two weeks and only saw Russians on the beach and night club. I think Thai folks don't like the large number of Russian immigrants/influence/money so there's a little bit of hatred there.
