price is only good during non peak season. nov-april is considered tourist season, and rest is off season.
resort is south of Kata beach. generally the cool kids hang out in Patong area. Kata is 30-80 minutes south of patong (depends on traffic, there is only 1 main road, so a coin flip). Kata is generally cheaper than Patong area, but to americans, not much difference paying $5 bucks vs $3 bucks for a meal or $12 vs $8 bucks for a hour massage.
room doesn't offer separate room for the kids, only 2 queens option. if you travel with kids, YOU WANT 2 ROOMS.
Cant tell if the resort restaurants are any good but if you plan to not go wonder around, solid bonus. previous posters have stated, there are resorts that are cheaper, but not on the beach like this one.
I don't know how much SD is getting paid for this ad post, but not the best of deals. chinese/korea/japan/russia etc economy is slowing down or in the toilet, so im guessing thailand tourist industy might be struggling.
i think you could probably find better deals through your credit card, or wait for more deals to pop up.
