t&c's say they cannot be used to pay for private/group events, which i assume covers them if they want to exclude parties. the FAQs do however specifically say cards can be used for gratuity.

I'd be checking with my planner/host to ask if that's written in stone or if they can at least use a card for partial payment or gratuity.
