You could also just get a current users guest pass and get 60 days free. You can choose App or App+ for those 60 days. If anyone wants that instead, DM me and I'll send you my guest pass link.

The subscription is definitely worth it. You don't need a bike from peloton, I use a regular stationary and a wahoo cadence.

If you don't workout, start with 5 minutes a day and figure out better eating habits. you'll see results that easily compound.

Been members for years and use practically every category of classes. We have a Schwinn IC4 bike and Horizon 7.0AT treadmill that both have bluetooth sync capabilities with Peloton, but it's really not needed to follow along with the classes. Full price is worth it afterwards considering the benefits if you keep up with your personal fitness goals.
Thank you very much for telling us!

I checked website and I am really not understanding the only 3 "Exercise bike, treadmill, & rower workouts" per month with App one subscription.

Are these like live workouts that you are limited too? Do you still have access to all the recorded workouts for bike, treadmill, rower?

If you can only do 3 workouts a month, that seems pretty useless if your primary usage is for a bike or treadmill.

Can anyone confirm?

It isn't. The stock nosedived after they started cost cutting, and again after they doubled the subscription price for no reason 2 years ago.

It's a niche product that priced themselves out of a competitive market.

It sucks bc the app is great, they're just more concerned with quarterly earnings reports.

Great deal, we use App+ with an echelon bike. Any one have a way to apply this deal to an existing membership?
Can I ask how you use it on the echelon? Do you port it to the echelon screen or use another device?

Both types of memberships offer unlimited workouts (upper body, lower body, yoga, cardio, etc). However, the workouts that involve a bike, treadmill or row machine are limited to 3 per month if you get the cheaper Peloton One membership. They also offer this limited membership for students for $6.99/month instead of $12.99/month.

If you want unlimited spin classes (both live and recorded), you need the more expensive App+ version. I get a Peloton membership every winter and think it is a great value for use with my Schwinn IC4 spin bike. It syncs with the App so it shows cadence and heart rate on the app. I play them on my tablet and stream to a TV.

Ok, great, than you for confirming.

So, if primary use is for non-peloton bike, treadmill or rower you need the +.

I had the standalone app a few years ago and it wasn't this limited. Although, at that time they only had two choices, one subscription for those that owned peloton equipment and a subscription for those that didn't . What you got was nearly the same, but obviously they have added a lot more other stuff since it was just bike workouts.

3 workouts total. If you open any workout, it counts, regardless if you finish or not. One of the reasons why I cancelled. They doubled the price, and paywalled unlimited + cadence tracker, into a higher tier. A few months later, they had a massive service outage/blackout, and didn't offer credits for the supposedly "superior" service you paid $24.99/month for.

Great deal for the App+ if you use a 3rd party bike. I have the Bike+ that I got used on FB Marketplace for $600. For the $44 a month, it's worth it for me. Gym memberships at like the cheapo places like Planet Fitness, etc. are lower, but the convenience of doing it at home. Youtube workouts are great too, if you can motivate yourself to do them. I cannot, so I can get myself to do it when I actually invest some money. Long term health benefits make it worth the cost. Can't beat the production value, music, and community aspect of Peloton though.

If you have a friend with Peloton, or anyone on SD, they can share with you a guest pass for 60 day trial of App+.

You can use an iPad and synch to the Bluetooth on the bike, as well as a heart monitor.

I recently got a (still in the box) stationary exercise bike adapter https://a.co/d/bR9Z5c4 ($27 when I got it from a slickdeals).

Can I use this Peloton app with this stationary bike setup with a device like the Wahoo Cadence?

In our case, we use Echelon app on our phone to see cadence and resistance stats for the echelon bike, and either use the ipad for Peloton workout or cast to TV. We just follow the Peloton instructors' cues by adjusting our bike settings.

For non-bike workouts, we use ipad or cast to TV. We don't have a treadmill so cannot speak to that experience.

I use this app. Bikes follows along to resistance changes in classes with auto resistance and power targets in power zone classes. A bit of a rabbit hole. https://www.qzfitness.com/
