Out of curiosity, what do you find superior about the gel capsules? Better absorption, or just that they are more pleasant to take?

Considering that this is a 7+ month supply, personally I appreciate the longer shelf life of the tablet version. Since, I take them with food, the taste is not really a factor.

If we were talking about some large doses, like fish oil, I'd be all about gel capsules, but these D3 tablets are pretty small.

Thanks OP!

2,000iu is considered a high dose and 5,000iu is a very high dose. Vitamin D is fat soluble, not water soluble so you don't just pee out the extra. You should only take such doses if you are truly deficient and get regular blood work to gauge your levels to make sure you are not approaching vitamin D toxicity levels.

So no magnesium needed? I see Vitamin D with K2 as well as versions of it with both K2 and Magnesium as well as just with magnesium only sold on amazon. Not sure which is the best way to go..
I've heard numerous reports of using it with K2 for better absorption but never heard that it works better with magnesium. Certain forms of K2 MK-7 cause side effects for some people such as anxiety etc. Many have switched to MK-4 instead which isn't as bioavailable but has less side effects. Or you can eat a little natto once a week or so for more than enough K2, but you might not be able to stand the odor and actually eat it.

I have heard K2 should be taken but separate from D3. I have not looked too close. Taking with magnesium probably doesn't hurt, most people are deficient, especially if they exercise, and you pee out the extra.
Personally I take D3 with breakfast, K2 with dinner, and magnesium before bed.

Are you deficient in magnesium? If not, you probably don't need it.

It's crucial to take vitamin D3 in combination with vitamin K2 in a ratio of 1000:10 (100 Vitamin K mcg for every 10K of Vitamin D) to promote calcium balance and lower the risk of arterial calcification. While it's equally important to maintain adequate magnesium levels, it isn't necessary to take magnesium at the same time as vitamin D3 and K2.

I have seen articles that state taking Vitamin D without Magnesium can make magnesium deficiency worse. But I take magnesium anyway for other reasons.
