Minoxidil causes vasodilation, which means it causes blood vessels to expand. This mechanism is hypothesized to reduce hair loss by increasing blood flow to applied areas. Note that it will have a minor systemic effect, so you will experience generalized hair growth, but it should be most pronounced where you treat.

If you have already begun balding, you will not experience much hair regrowth, if at all. However, it should slow the rate of hair loss. Some patients experience meaningful regrowth.

You should ask your doctor if you are on some kind of vasodilator, have low blood pressure, or have a cardiovascular disorder. In general, minoxidil is safe and side effects are benign.

You will experience reduced hair loss as long as your using it, and you should use the recommended amount daily. Discontinuing use may return you to a normal rate of hair loss. Note that this is not a one-time application, nor will it provide permanent benefit after using it for a few months. It will not accelerate hair loss for the last majority of patients.

Anecdotally, I've been using Kirkland brand for many years and have experienced thicker body hair, with some hair loss prevention. I would have lost more hair without it, but it has not lead to hairline regrowth. As others have noted, minoxidil is the active component and you would get the same benefit from the liquid spray. However, the foam is easier to apply, but at a premium cost.

How does this deal compare to the recent Costco Minoxidil deal?
The Costco one is a much better deal.
I paid around $22 after tax and shipping for a 6 month supply.
Although that was for a liquid solution and this is a foam they are two different products but the ingredients are the same.

But also works as a hair mousse, so to speak. That makes it better than the topical gel variation imo.

And everyone complains about paying a membership fee to these wholesale clubs, but stuff like this just demonstrates the ignorance of that. This is $49.99 at Costco for 6 bottles. The equivalent of this deal is $66.00. I've also seen them for as low as $39.99 online sometimes, but I always have to pay $5.99 shipping on it, still less than the standard $49.99 cost in warehouse.

Don't waste your money on this product. Instead, visit your doctor or dermatologist and get prescribed fin/dut and minoxidil pills. These are the only effective ways to prevent hair loss. I do have Rogaine, but I only use it when I'm going out, like on a date or something. Every time I apply it, my hair looks much thicker and easier to style, so I only use it for styling.
despite the downvotes, this is the truth. this foam does not work and is miserable to use. start finasteride, or waste money and go bald at the same time

The pills have more risk of side effects than topical.

Is there a special way to apply the foam or Liquid version so that hair? I don't want to start growing hair on the finger tip.

It was on sale and it's over now I believe. It regularly goes on sale for $39.99 though, I usually refill my inventory before running out of a 6 month supply.

Just embrace the balding idk why people are so vain
Some people look great bald, others don't. Losing one's hair can be stress-inducing, which then accelerates the problem more. At least that is my experience.

It was on sale 2 months ago. When it's $39.99, it's usually only in store and for a short period like a weekend.
