I rarely post but I own this in stainless steel and I really like it. Have had it a couple years now and have only really had one issue where there was a piece of plastic causing a noise during drying (possibly came like that when built).
During that repair the Sears guy commented that he does a lot of fisher and paykel double drawer dishwasher and it looked exactly the same taking it apart.
On usage we pretty much fill and run the top drawer daily, but it's nice to put either pots (running the pots program) or plastic bins or anything you might want cooler water with (using the china program) separate from the main drawer. I would recommend it, but if cautious there's always plenty of extended warranties to choose from online.

Café is definitely not an unknown brand. It's the luxury line of GE.

That said, according to reviews, this is garbage.

Dishwashers use way less water than handwashing. Also, they can run at higher temperatures that kill bacteria. If you run it at full capacity you're way ahead on water and energy savings.

Good deal but read the reviews seem to be a failed gimmick.

I would avoid this, powder only dishwasher detergent and people complaining it holds half the regular capacity between both drawers and takes multiple runs - seems like a failed experiment by cafe that they are trying to liquidate the dishwashers from.

Unknown brand and style. I've got 5 Bosch ones in different locations and they've been fine. A little pricey, but very quiet and clean very well, if slowly.

You should know what you're talking about before commenting. Cafe is not an unknown brand, 😂. If that's the case, GE is an unknown brand.

What's the use case for this? Dishwashers already only use 2-3 gallons of water.

There are photos on the Lowe's posting of someone throwing a pod in there.

Edit: read the manual and there are 2 different slots to put detergent pods in.

We tend to go through a lot of cups and small bowls. It would actually be nice to run those more often, while bigger items (plates, pots) could wait a few more days to fill the second section. You could also run different cycles on each section to protect more delicate items, like plastics that can warp if they get too hot.

I have one of these and at first I almost posted a bad review, but my issue (along with many others I'd assume) is that there's lower clearance between the bottom of the rack and spindle that shoots the water up at the dishes. Once I started paying attention, making sure that nothing would prevent it from making a full rotation, it's been nothing short of excellent.

Another comment mentioned it's powder solution only, and that's false. There's also a spot in the silverware caddy for tablets, which is all I use.

For 2-3 people this is a huge upgrade imho, since you can run it every 1-2 days instead of having to fill the whole dishwasher once a week and having it funk up the place.

Highly recommended.

The rating of 46dB makes this interesting for the price. Additionally, I'm wondering if the design could actually provide a way to efficiently wash smaller loads. However, this ultimately does appear to have been a design with enough performance compromises for the price to have failed, resulting in the discounting we're seeing here.

Good luck!
Jon
