i have the 2023 i'd.4 on a lease and can honestly say i'm counting down the days until this car goes back

one of the worst cars i've ever owned, technology is very poorly designed and frustrating, countless recalls and range is mediocre at best.

there are many more comparable options when it comes to EV. Chevy Equinox being one that is also very well priced.

My personal opinion would be to get him a used car if he or she a new driver. Cheaper insurance and less fear of damage. Damaging a leased car is going to be costly. Not meaning to offend or anything, just providing my own experience as an ex-college student.

Might want to consider a used EV instead. Model year 23 one owner vehicles under 25k should qualify for an additional 4k discount. the lease deal looks to be 10k per year for mileage. Prices exclude taxes and fees. I have an id 4. Can't say I would recommend it

This is sort of what I guessed would happen. They had a recall that had them sitting on every ID.4 for the past 3-4 months. Now they need them to move

NYC Geico

Rep told me that the safety features in a Tesla (cameras, lane detection, automatic/emergency breaking, etc., makes the vehicle less prone to causing an accident.

I own the car outright so liability only.

for most people i presume its more like ~30cents or more when counting electricity supply rates, no?

I refuse to do a lease because I take care of cars but everyone around me doesn't seem to give a sht. I've put one scratch on my car and yet I have 15-20 deep ones from doors and other crap.

Seems like a good deal dollar wise but vw reliability is always a big issue. Drove a rabbit many years ago and had to replace transmission twice. Never again.

Many won't qualify for the EV tax credit. Cutoff is only $112k or so agi for used.

Perhaps I missed it but I don't see anything in the terms about a $699 "dealer handling fee". The disposition fee amounts to $395. Since first month's payment is in that $999 this becomes:

999 + (23x149) plus 395 = $4821, or almost exactly $200/mo, plus tax/title/license/options and dealer fees.

This assumes you can actually find one sitting around that hasn't been scooped up for this lease deal. We have one locally but its sticker price is $8k over the stripper model that is used for the basic maths in this lease deal, don't know how that would change the monthly payment. For $200/mo it's almost worth it for the gag, but not a penny more, especially not knowing what the insurance company thinks of these things.

That's crazy, I'm at 11 cents a KWH in Indiana and it does work out to around 1/4th the cost of gas.
