one of the worst cars i've ever owned, technology is very poorly designed and frustrating, countless recalls and range is mediocre at best.
there are many more comparable options when it comes to EV. Chevy Equinox being one that is also very well priced.

So, anyone from a state where this is not the case, it's worth calling dealers in maryland as inventory is plentiful.

Leasing cars in Maryland, Texas and Virginia is messed up because they do tax you on the full price of the car, not just the monthly payments. For people that lease a car every ~3 years, you are paying about twice as much in sales tax (or more) then you would in pretty much every other state. This can add up to thousands of dollars over each lease.
However, your comment about having to pay tax again if you buyout the lease is not accurate. As long as the original lessee buys out the car and everything is the same, you should not have to pay sales tax again. If someone else buys out the lease, then they would need to pay sales tax on the residual.
and if you actually read the thread, many dealers honored it, the local dealer for me did and it was $170ish (149+tax), and down payment was like $2500+/- (999+tax/license/reg/dealer fees)
i had a deal for $2300 down and 194 month for 24/10 for id4 pro in norcal, i didnt go that afternoon and then next day it was "last unit" and manager wont do that anymore and for $2300 down its $230 a month now
