I'd wait for the Ultra 5 V2 version to go on sale again. At 550( 600$ if you count the 50$ plus membership fee) it's a great deal.
Linux( Arch) works amazing.

The screen isn't as good, but still fantastic.
I also have concerns about the better screen on this model taking up more battery. The Ultra 5 V2 gives me about 8 to 10 hours, although I do compile a lot of code so that might be factor.

Does anybody know if this has dc dimming like the asus vivobook/zenbook models? I have pwn sensitivity and it seems these newer oled laptops don't ship with DC dimming, only Asus laptops...

BB has a good deal on open box Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition [bestbuy.com] for as low as $730 (which is a steal as new is $1299). The screen on this model is very much OLED-like, but not OLED so no dimming issues and more battery friendly. If you're not familiar with this model, check out some YT reviews...most say it's an almost perfect laptop. I've bought a few and am completely happy with them. The specs are about the same as this Acer. Just a suggestion since you are sensitive to PWM.

I think all Intel Ultra laptops so far have soldered memory. I believe there is only a single laptop (made by Lenovo) that has camm2 expandable memory, but rest of them don't.

I guess the biggest "plus" is the laptop CPU's now are requiring LPDDR5X RAM which is not available on SODIMM so soldered RAM is a required if you actually want a CPU in your laptop! Smilie

EDIT: To be clear, the Intel Ultra 2 256V CPU (in this laptop) the memory is part of the CPU and not actually soldered to the system board. The 258V CPU is 32GB version of the 256V.
