Linux( Arch) works amazing.
The screen isn't as good, but still fantastic.
I also have concerns about the better screen on this model taking up more battery. The Ultra 5 V2 gives me about 8 to 10 hours, although I do compile a lot of code so that might be factor.

2. Faster memory (>8000MT/s) with much lower latency vs slower SODIMM
3. More reliable as there isn't a socket with 262 pin contacts that can cause issues (which is true of any component that is socketed vs soldered).
4. Cheaper to manufacture.
I guess the biggest "plus" is the laptop CPU's now are requiring LPDDR5X RAM which is not available on SODIMM so soldered RAM is a required if you actually want a CPU in your laptop!
EDIT: To be clear, the Intel Ultra 2 256V CPU (in this laptop) the memory is part of the CPU and not actually soldered to the system board. The 258V CPU is 32GB version of the 256V.
